“Cook With Lars” Genesis
Part I
The motivation for this cookbook are my daughters, Erica and Jannine. I’ve always had a passion for cooking and my girls are my greatest critics. They’ve also become great cooks in their own right, helping and learning, through all our growing up years, during all our cooking “adventures”. In a small way to give back I’ve started capturing favorite family dishes, and a few we still have to share.
Now, regardless where their lives take them, assuming they’ve got an Internet connection; my girls have quick access to all our family’s favorite recipes. In addition, there’s a mobile version of this site. Now whether grocery shopping, prepping or preparing, find what you need when you need it and start cooking.
As time permits, I’ll add some cooking techniques, most of which learned while sitting in on classes at the C.I.A. (Culinary Institute of America – New York) during my freshman year at Vassar – but that’s another story.
Part II
The secondary genesis for the cookbook came from a group of five corporate “types” who shared a common thread – Friends are not defined by salary, position or title.
While we’ve all moved on with our lives, our time together often revolved around fine wine, great food and genuine friendships.
Enjoy life, share good times with great friends, significant others, and most important, help & support each other. This site is a tribute to all who feels the same.
