A Little Personal History:
As we started having and going to more and more parties. Serving or bringing great appetizers became a must. Here’s one of our favorites, always bringing compliments.
Instructions
- Preheat your oven to 350° F.
- If walnuts aren’t halved, half them on cutting board and set aside.
- With scissors, cut bacon slices in half and set aside.
- Measure out cream cheese and set aside.
- With sharp knife, slice each date to create a large opening for stuffing (pocket). Set aside.
- Stuff dates with cream cheese and walnut half. Re-close the date.
- Wrap each date with bacon strip, it might overlap a few times, depending on the length. Secure wrapped bacon with toothpick.
- Place a sheet of aluminum foil over your cookie sheet and arrange your appetizers in rows on the cookie sheet.
- On middle rack, bake stuffed dates for 20-30 minutes, or until bacon is browned and crisp; rotate dates half way through.
