A Little Personal History:

Every since living in New Orleans  many years ago, spicy Cajun seasoning has been one of my favorite go to spice mixes when I want to add a little heat to the dish. It’s a staple for every dish with “cajun” in the name and this is my favorite blend of spices.

  • 1/4 cup coarse salt
  • 1 tablespoon cumin seed
  • 1 tablespoon ground white pepper corns
  • 1 tablespoon ground black pepper corn.
  • 2 tablespoon paprika
  • 2 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon cayenne pepper
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 1 tablespoon dried cilantro
  • ½ tablespoon dried oregano
  • ½ tablespoon dried thyme

Instructions
  1. With a mortar and pestel or grinder, grind salt, cumin seed, white & black peppercorns
  2. In a bowl, combine and mix all ingredients. Store in an airtight container in a cool dry place for up to 6 months
