A Little Personal History:

I wanted an Asian marinade that works well with less expensive cuts of meats, poultry and simple to prepare. Here’s what I came up with and it’s become a favorite marinade, whether for beef or poultry.

  • 2 tablespoons fresh ginger cubed
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup rice vinegar
  • 1/3 cup honey
  • 2 teaspoon ground pepper

Instructions
  1. On cutting board, cut fresh ginger into small cubes. Using garlic press, press and scrape ginger into 2 cup mixing bowl.
  2. Combine the remaining marinade ingredients in mixing bowl and whisk thoroughly.
  3. Transfer to salad dressing bottle or another container, seal and refrigerate till ready to use.
