Equipment: Cutting board and knifes, measuring cups and spoons, 1 medium saucepan, 1 small bowl, whisk, strainer, glass container and top
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients:

  • ½ teaspoon fresh garlic, minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger, diced
  • 1 small (5.5 – 8 oz.) can pineapple juice
  • ¼ cup brown sugar
  • ¼ cup rice wine vinegar
  • ¼ cup Ketchup
  • ¼ teaspoon Champagne Mustard Sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 teaspoon soy sauce
  • 1 ½ Tbs cornstarch

Procedure:

  1. On cutting board, dice and mince garlic and ginger. Transfer to medium saucepan.
  2. Measure cornstarch. Set aside in small bowl.
  3. Add all remaining ingredients, except cornstarch, to saucepan and whisk together.
  4. Transfer saucepan to stove and cook over medium-low heat for 15 minutes. Stirring occasionally.
  5. Add cornstarch and whisk until thickened.
  6. Strain into small bowl, removing garlic and ginger.
  7. Transfer to glass container, tightly seal and refrigerate till needed.

Advanced Preparation:

  • This sauce is intended to be made in advance and refrigerated till needed.
