A Little Personal History:

There are just so many things that go with Ranch dressing; Salads, dips, etc. So much so, I wanted to come up with a powdered mix I could quickly add some milk, mayo or variations of yogurt, sour cream and presto … delicious ranch dressing 🙂 The “secret” to this mix is to use powdered milk (much easier to find than powdered buttermilk), then add some fresh lemon juice or vinegar when ready to make your dressing or mix.

Description:

Ranch dressing is a type of salad dressing made of some combination of buttermilk, salt, garlic, onion, herbs (commonly chivesparsley, and dill), and spices (commonly black pepper, paprika, and ground mustard seed), mixed into a sauce based onmayonnaise or another oil emulsion. Sour cream and yogurt are sometimes used as a substitute by some home cooks or to create a lower-fat version. Ranch dressing has been the best-selling salad dressing in the United States since 1992, when it overtook Italian dressing.[1] It is also popular as a dip.”
