A Little Personal History:
There’s nothing like a great BBQ sauce to slather over your ribs, chicken, pulled pork sandwiches, and anything else you’d like that great bbq flavor.
Description:
Barbecue (BBQ) Sauce comes in many varieties, the most popular in the USA is Kansas City style (a tomato or ketchup based with sweet, sour and smoky flavors married together). Barbecue sauce can be added to the meat before, during or after cooking.

Ingredients:
- 1 cup Ketchup
- 6 Tbs Worcestershire sauce
- 4 Tbs butter
- 3 Tbs apple cider vinegar or white vinegar
- 1 Tbs Champagne Mustard Sauce
- 3 Tbs yellow onion, finely minced
- 4 teaspoon bottled Liquid Smoke (hickory flavor)
- 3 dashes Scorching Hot Sauce
- ½ cup brown sugar
- 1 Tbs white sugar
- 1 Tbs molasses
- 1 teaspoon salt
Procedure:
- Measure and prepare all ingredients, combine in a large mixing bowl. Whisk till well mixed.
- Transfer mixture to skillet and simmer over low heat for 20 minutes, stirring occasionally.
- Store in tightly sealed jar and refrigerate overnight to marry flavors
Advanced Preparation:
- This sauce is intended to be prepared in advance and refrigerated till needed.
Tips, Notes, and Variations:
- When using this sauce for grilling, add to meat near end or after cooking to avoid burning sauce because of sugar content.
